Chief of Serbian Armed Forces General Staff visits the Czech Republic



Chief of Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Miloje Miletic have met with the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic General Vlastimil Picek in Prague today.

Generals Miletic and Picek discussed the possibilities for improving cooperation between the two armies. They exchanged views on the security situation in the Southeast Europe, agreeing that the current security situation in the region is characterized by increased security and readiness for dialogue on all outstanding issues.

Chief of Serbian Armed Forces General Staff introduced his Czech counterpart to the results of the reform process in the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces and the participation of the members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces in multinational operations.

General Miletic had also talks with the Minister of Defence of the Czech Republic Alexander Vondra.

During the visit to the Czech Republic, the delegation of the Serbian Armed Forces will visit, among others, the 24th Air Transportation Base and 31st Radiological, Chemical and Biological Protection Brigade.

The Republic of Serbia has very good cooperation with the Czech Republic in the field of defence, especially when it comes to logistics, nuclear-biological-chemical defence, military medicine and military education.
