Meeting of the Analytical Group for the implementation of the National Action Plan



State Secretary at the Ministry of Defence, Dr Tanja Miscevic and the Chief of the Strategic Planning Department, Defense Policy Sector, and the Task Team Leader for drafting of the National Action Plan, Major General Bozidar Forca, attended the first meeting of the members of the Analytical Group of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces for analysing the implementation of the National Action Plan for implementation of the 1325 UN Security Council Resolution on Women, Peace and Security in MoD and SAF.

Welcoming the group, Dr Tanja Miscevic assessed that the activities of the National Action Plan and the implementation of Resolution 1325 drew great public attention, and that the Ministry of Defence as a modern institution recognized the importance of this issue.

- Implementation of Resolution 1325 is the main topic of today's meeting, and the task of the Analytical Group in monitoring and analyzing the implementation of the National Action Plan to implement the Resolution is of great importance. However, this is not enough. This is only the basis for further work in which the Ministry of Defence and the Analytical Group will take over a large part of the job, the State Secretary Miscevic said .

General Forca spoke about the recommendations for the organization of work, monitoring and reporting on the implementation of the National Action Plan. At the meeting, proposals for organisation of the work, selection of methods and research techniques were also discussed, the dynamic work schedule was presented, and finally the discussion on key issues and suggestions was launched.

The meeting, chaired by Head of Analytical Group Biljana Stojkovic, ended with the adoption of proposals and recommendations to support more effective work of the Group, implementation of the NAP and implementation of the Resolution 1325.
