DRG Plenary session



The plenary session of the Serbia-NATO defense reform group was held on Friday in MoD. This was the fourth session since June 2010 and also the annual analysis of the DRG’s work.

The meeting was chaired by State Secretary Tanja Miscevic, coordination team manager of the DRG. The participants of the annual analysis from moD and SAF were state secretaries, assistant defense minister, Deputy CHOD of the Serbian Armed Forces, and commanders of the SAF operational commands, as well as the co-chairperson, and the executive coordinator of the group and work table managers.

NATO delegation was led by Frank Boland, also the co-chairperson of the Group. Besides the work of this five-member NATO delegation. There were foreign DAs of the NATO member states also taking part in the discussion, including the EU and PfP representatives, and the representatives of the NATO MLO in Belgrade.

The work in the previous 12 months was analyzed at the meeting when a Work Plan for the period July 2011-June 2012 was adopted.
The general conclusion of the group was that the RS defense system had made excellent results in the process of reforms, and that the Work Tables of the Group had fulfilled their annual plan for 2010-2011 in full.
