Bilateral talks on PARP evaluation

Bilateral talks with the NATO delegation on PARP process (Planning and review Process) evaluation were held in Belgrade yesterday in the Ministry of Defense. This is a regular activity held once every two years, ever since Serbia joined the Partnership for peace program.

These bilateral talks were held in view of preparing a PARP evaluation which would be submitted to the political and partner council, as well as to prepare multilateral consultations to be held in NATO HQ in Brussels in September.

The talks were chaired by the head of the Strategic Planning Department Major General Bozidar Forca and the head of the NATO delegation Frank Boland.

The talks involved participants of all organizational units from MoD and SAF as the task bearers of all partner goals and as participants in reaching them.
The five-member NATO delegation was headed by Frank Boland with the members of the NATO MLO office to Belgrade also participating in the talks.

Both sides concluded that there has been a major step made in the reforms process in the defense system since the last PARP evaluation in 2009, and that significant results in reaching partner goals have been made.
