Last day of Partner
On the last day of the fair arms and military equipment "Partner 2011" Assistant Secretary of Defense for financial resources Ilija Pilipovic said that the main goal of organizing this fair had been fulfilled.-The goal was to have the representatives from country and region present. We can say that we have reached our goal- a total of 19 foreign delegations visited the fair where the users, scientists and manufacturers were able to discuss. We made new contacts which will be further developed and, hopefully, contribute to the improvement of our commercial and foreign producers and researchers-as Pilipovic said.
The Chief of the Defence Technology Department Brigadier General Dr. Bojan Zrnic also confirmed that all goals of the fair had been reached. He said that the increased number of exhibitors, both domestic and foreign proves that.

We were able to significantly raise the profile of this event as part of a regional framework, but also in international. We had a lot of bilateral meetings where we confirmed some old friendships, old positions while opening new perspectives. Zrnic pointed out that the Fair promoted new products of our research and the R^D institutions, especially the Military Technical Institute. It is primarily the impact of two products, which were first presented at the fair - tactical unmanned aircraft "Pegaz" and multiple modular rocket launcher.
The specificity of this event is, according to Chief of the Defense Technologies Department is that the whole government complex is involved in the production of the weapons and military equipment, with Ministry of Defense, Jugoimport SDPR-and six factories Serbian defense industry being the main bearers of production, which has thus presented its capacities in a unique way.
Another thing worth noting is that in the whole region no country can boast of such a great presence of its defense products on the market, as Serbian defense industry. The conceptual difference between our and foreign fairs is that it is dominated by domestic manufacturers, while in foreign fairs foreign producers take primary place.
General Zrnic pointed out the tremendous support of the Serbian Army in the preparation and implementation of the fair and the fact that the army has responded and given absolute support in all aspects by providing technical equipment, and competent persons who have explained the functioning of individual systems, but also the large number of Army of Serbia members who visited a large number of "Partner".
- Besides developing this as an international fair, it was also very important to inform SAF members of the recent advancements in technology.
Furthermore, Nenad Miloradovic, Assistant Director of Jugoimport SDPR said that "Partner 2011" represents a significant improvement compared to the previous exhibition of weapons and military equipment
-This is evident from what has been exhibited, the way it is organized and the visits we had. If he had to see what we showed, the defense industry, especially VTI who presented several projects that do not lag behind other such projects in the world, with promising placement on foreign markets- said Miloradovi?.
This year’s fair is very important for the Military technical Institute, according to Dr. Zoran Anastasijevic, assistant director of the Military Technical Institute forR&D, since 1990, as this year the Institute appeared with 11 new weapons which were first shown at the fair.- A large number of delegations have visited our exhibits. Some were also at the Institute. The focus of interest was Lasta training air craft, a modular missile system, intelligent multisensor platform and unmanned air craft- as Anastasijevic remarked.
On the last day of the fair "Partner" was open to citizens as well. It was noted that more than 5,000 people attended the event.
