Cooperation in the field of arms and equipment
In the House of Guards in Topcider a meeting in the field of logistics and arms was held yesterday chaired by Assistant Minister for Material Resources Ilija Pilipovic and LTG Freyo Apfalter from the Austrian Ministry of Defense.The meeting was attended by the delegation of defense ministries of Austria, Albania, BIH, Croatia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Slovenia and Serbia.
The meeting represents the continuation of cooperation in the field of logistics and armaments initiated by the Republic of Austria. Previous two meetings were held in Vienna. During this meeting participants exchanged experiences in the field of weapons and logistics, and there was talk about further steps for the purpose of promoting cooperation.
The focus of the plenary session of the 3rd meeting in armaments and logistics was outlined in talks regarding the introduction and implementation of the NATO codification system.At the proposal of the Austrian side, and with the concession of other delegations, the Republic of Slovenia became a full member of the initiative.
