Cooperation with Germany in military history
Delegation of the Military History Research of the German Ministry of Defence paid a visit to the Institute of Strategic Research from 20 to 22 June. The delegation included the Chief of Colonel Hans-Hubertus Mak and Dr. Michael Epkenhas, head of scientific research department.German delegation was received by the Director of the Institute Dr. Jovana Saranovic and the head of the military history department Milan Terzic. During the discussion it was agreed to proceed with the exchange of scientific publications, articles for publication in scientific journals and mutual reference to scientific conferences and roundtables in the field of military history, organized by both sides.
Furthermore, during the talks there was discussion about the possibility of compiling a study on German-Yugoslav military-political relations in the XX century and the participation of our military historians at conferences and work tables dedicated to the Balkan and First World War.German side showed special interest in the project of Department of Military History ISI "The Yugoslav Army and the Third Reich 1933 - 1941" while also demonstrating willingness to financially support the final research on this project in Germany during the 2012 During the stay in the Republic of the Serbia, the German delegation visited the Military Museum and the Military Archives.
