Fourth military championship closes
"Sports Championships Serbian Army, which we have organized for the fourth consecutive year, is a good example of how intense and effective training, diligent practice and dedication, the love of sport competition, we can achieve very good sports results," said General Miletic.
"The great success is always the result of continuous striving towards the objectives set and the sum of all the small successes on your way to the great achievement," said General Miletic, expressing his belief that the best among sports competitors of the fourth Serbian army championship would successfully represent the Army of Serbia and the Republic of Serbia at national and international sports competitions and events.
During the championship, the teams of Ministry of Defence, General Staff, Army, Air Force and Training Command were able to measure their skills and abilities. More than 400 members of the Ministry of Defense and the Army of Serbia competed in the military all-around competition, archery, orienteering, judo, athletics, volleyball and futsal.
The members of the army were most successful in the military all-around competition, judo and athletics, while the Air Force team achieved best results in futsal. The Army was the best in volleyball, while the General Staff team took first place in orienteering.
The first place in all round sports championship and the interim trophy went to the Training Command. The trophy was received by Lt. Col. Danilo Simonovic of the Training Command, who led the preparation and the most successful sports teams in this league.
Second place went to the Army team, while third place went to the team of the Serbian Army General Staff, while the Fair Play Award went to the Air Force.
