Major General Kolundzija's statement on "Combined endeavour"



Members of the Serbian Armed Forces and the Ministry of Interior will perform on 28 June at 15 pm “Combined endeavor ", as was announced today by the Chief of Operations Department Major General Dragan Kolundzija.

He told Tanjug news agency that the army and the police would show the citizens their ability to support civil authorities in combating threats to security and their performance of special-purpose tasks.

The exercises, which will be performed in the "Knjaz Mihajlo" barracks in Nis, will be attended by more than 600 soldiers and police men, said Kolundzija and invited citizens to attend the exercises.

According to him, along with members of the Special Brigade , Third Brigade of the Army, the Serbian Army Guard and 98th and 204th Aviation Brigade the members of the 250th antiaircraft missile brigade will also take part in the exercise.

He also said that the Serbian Army will also engage signaling brigade, the Center for Logistics Training, "Cobra" MP special task forces battalion and the 246th RCBD Battalion.

"Ministry will engage members of the Department for Emergency Situations, the gendarmerie, police brigade of Belgrade, traffic police, anti-terrorist unit, Special Anti-Terrorist Unit, as well as helicopter and cavalry units," said Kolundzija.

The citizens will be able to see the technical-tactical assembly of weapons and military equipment, including M-84 tank, self-propelled howitzers, multiple rocket launchers military and police helicopters, and unmanned air craft orbiter.

Among the exhibits of armament and missile systems, the citizens will have an opportunity to see Kub missile systems, vehicles, weapons of special forces, logistics resources, as well as vehicles and equipment of the police and military police.

For the citizens of Nis, in the same day at 18 pm, a promenade will be prepared which wil start at the gate of Stamboul fortress.
