Uprising 1941 exhibition opened in the SAF Central Military Club



To mark the 70th anniversary of the uprising of the people of Serbia in the National Liberation War, today's Army Club in Belgrade, exhibition graphics, drawings, sculptures and paintings - "Uprising of 1941". Spoke at the opening of an art historian Mira Kuhn, daughter of the famous professors and academics Andrejevi?a George Kun.

- I see the symbolism in the fact that Mira Kun just opens the exhibition - because she is the daughter of the great artists and legendary Yugoslavian "Spaniard", participants in the Spanish Civil War and the Serbian uprising 1941st year - said Professor Milorad Zecevic, President of the Republic Board of the Union of Liberation War Veterans of Serbia, who has taken the initiative to organize the exhibition.

The exhibition is composed of some forty works from the collection of Media Center's "Defense", a concept the author Milorad Bubanja, manager of the Gallery of the Army. The exhibition includes work by painters of the Warrior and the subsequent generation of artists who found inspiration in the turbulent events of World War II. Among them are the giants of the Yugoslav Art - Peter Lubarda, Milic Stankovic of Ma?va, George Andrejevic Kun, Mersad Berber ...

- In the last thirteen years our city has seen an exhibition of such content. I suggest that one in this Jubilee year visit major cities in Serbia - Mira said Kun.

Exhibition - "Uprising of 1941" will be open until 28 July, during which time the public will be able to view scenes and motifs from the Second World War - Refugees from Spain, the liberation of Jajce, Kozarska battle, Anne Frank's life ...

For seven days - 28 June, in a small gallery of the Army will open an exhibition of the Art Group Vidovdanska Military Academy. Visitors to this setting will be able to watch up to 12th July.
