Minister presents keys to 75 flats in Bezanijska kosa

Minister of defense Dragan Sutanovac presented keys to 75 flats n Bezanijska Kosa today.

In his address to those gathered, the minister said that this even today testifies to the fact that the Ministry of Defense had continued to solve the housing issues many MoD members are facing.

On this occasion we have delivered keys to 75 flats on Bezanijska kosa, which is just a part of the total of 600 apartments we plan to distributed, half of which are planned to be constructed in this part of residential bloc. As the minister pointed out, adding that these flats had been legally allotted ten years ago, “therefore today’s even of presenting the keys only confirms our commitment to finalize the construction of flats for all defense system members”.

39 military pensioners, and 35 active Mod employees will move into new flats, including four generals, which only shows that high ranking officers do not in any way have an upper hand when it comes to obtaining flats in comparison to other officers in the Serbian army.

Unfortunately, as you are fully aware, we are grossly limited by the lack of funds to fully solve these housing issues. However, we are striving to make these flats high quality, so we hope to see a record number of finished flats in the last two decades, as Minister stated.

In July alone, besides the said 600 flats, another 450 flats will be finished pout of Belgrade, while the keys to flats built on 4July barracks grounds will be presented early next year, thus reaching the maximum number of flats awarded in the last two decades.
