Military technical cooperation between Serbia and Russia
The first session of the Joint Serbia-Russia Working Group on Military Technical Cooperation was held in the War Hall of the old Generalstaff building, on 25 and 26 May. Co-chairman of the Serbian part of the mixed team was Assistant Minister for Material Resources Ilija Pilipovic, and the Russian delegation was led by Garmaš Sergei Pavlovich, Deputy Chief of the Second Authority for Foreign Military Technical Cooperation of the Federal Service for Military Technical Cooperation of the Russian Federation.
During the plenary session of the Serbia-Russia working group, the representatives of the two sides signed the Rules of Procedure of that body and Protocol on the realisation of the session. The main goal of the mixed group, attached to the Serbian-Russian Intergovernmental Committee for Trade, Economic and Scientific-Technical Cooperation, is to establish a relationship between the Serbian Ministry of Defence and the Jugoimport SDPR Company with the Federal Service for Military Technical Cooperation of the Russian Federation in order to develop cooperation in that area.
