New uniforms for cadets

Cadets of the First Cadet Regiment Military Academy today received new camouflage uniforms of the Serbian Armed Forces Model M-10. This is the first uniform to be introduced into Army of Serbia after 18 years. The ceremony of presenting new uniforms was attended by Defense Minister Dragan Sutanovac and SAF CHOD General Miloje Miletic .

Uniform type M-10 is a completely new type of uniform with a digital pattern used in most advanced armies. It is functional and adapted to the needs of soldiers 21st century, while continuing the tradition of the Serbian Armed Forces.

- Today we are starting to wear the new M-10 uniform. It is better than the previous type of uniform because it is tailored better, with the trousers being of better quality- they are divided by the size and tailored especially for us – as Dimitrije Stankovic sergeant from Leskovac said.

- This is for us something new. Uniforms are excellent, comfortable and beautiful. They fit the body properly, unlike the previous uniforms which were rather “loose” and just too large, and they are suitable for girls, too- as cadet Momir Kovacevic from Sombor says.

The new uniform was created by the company "Cotton Factory Jumko from Vranje. A total of 8,500 sets have been delivered, and by the end of next year, all units of the Serbian Army will wear uniforms type M-10.

- After so many years we finally get a new uniform of the right size and numbers - particularly referring to those that appeal to women. For now it is comfortable, and we will see yet how it will apply field conditions - says cadet lance sergeant Alexander Ilic.

One of the characteristics of the uniform set is that is it composed of 14 items of clothing - from laundry to the three layer winter jacket. The testing of the uniform was done in the 41st Infantry Battalion, Fourth Brigade and 63 Parachute Battalion of the Special Brigade.
