Training of inspectors on highly toxic substances



In the center for CBRD personnel specialization in Krusevac, from 8 to 28 May, a training of inspectors dealing with highly toxic substances. In training, OPCW (Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons-OPCW), there are 42 OPCW inspectors participating in the training.



Thanks to many years of successful cooperation and the important support of Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of Defence to activities of OPCW, these two institutions signed a long-term agreement on staff training courses. The agreement was signed by a military representative to the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Serbia to the OPCW in the Hague, Col. prof. Zoran Segrt and the director of the OPCW Inspectorate Julian Tangere.

Realization of these activities demonstrates the continuity of successful cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and OPCW in the implementation of the Convention on the Prohibition of the Development, Production, Stockpiling and Use of Chemical Weapons and on their Destruction.

Furthermore, these activities also contribute to the promotion of the Ministry of Defense and the Army of Serbia at the international level, especially the capacity and activity NBC training center as the Regional Training Center staff in the field of weapons of mass destruction, the Military Medical Academy, the Military Technical Institute and other facilities which in this area by the Republic of Serbia.
