MoD delegation at the arms fair in Istanbul
The delegation of the Ministry of defense headed by Minister Dragan Sutanovac, was in Turkey at the International Fair of arms and military equipment "IDEF 2011", which is held in Istanbul. During his stay in Istanbul, Sutanovac had a series of bilateral meetings.
Turkish Defence Minister Mehmet Gonul and Minister Sutanovac discussed the continuation of bilateral military cooperation, with emphasis on education and training. At the meeting both sides expressed interest in joint development projects and expressed satisfaction with cooperation, bearing in mind that the Military-Technical institute had already provided some services to Turkish airline industry.
During the talks he also had with Minister of Defense of Bulgaria Anja Angelov, minister talked about continuing cooperation and the joint live shooting in the training ground of Sabla was agreed upon. The first shooting was conducted in September 2010 at the same shooting ground.During the meeting with Minister of defense of Somalia, both sides expressed their desire for cooperation in the field of military education, and discussed the possibilities of military-economic cooperation.
The delegation had meetings with representatives of the Ministries of Defence of Egypt and South Africa.
