Bilateral defense consultations between the Czech Republic and Serbia



Bilateral military-defense consultations between the ministry of Defense of the Republic of Serbia and the Czech Republic were held on 20 April 2011 in Prague.

Cooperation in the field of defense with the Czech Republic is developed, and is marked by high-level visits, with a view of intensifying military medical and military economic cooperation.

The Czech Embassy in Belgrade is Serbia’s current contact point with the NATO, with the realization of activities through financing and support to the Serbia-NATO defense group, the Czech Republic has greatly contributed to a more successful reform of the defense system of Serbia.

The Head of the International Military Cooperation Department Milorad Peric and the Director of the Defense Policy Department of the Czech Ministr6y of defense Josef Oplustil signed a Bilateral Military cooperation Plan for 2011, where the cooperation should be in the field of logistics, CBRND, standardization, military education and exchange of cadets.

Another Agreement on Cooperation in Military Education , which is to institutionalize the already well-established and good cooperation between military university education institutions, as the Serbian University of defense was modeled after the Czech University of Defense.
