Minister Sutanovac awarded the Annual Plaque

The City Council of Novi Pazar awarded the Annual Plaque of the City of Novi Pazar to minister of defense Dragan Sutanovac for his contribution to establishing excellent cooperation between the SAF and this city. The decision was adopted on the session of the city council on occasion of celebrating five centuries since the establishment of the city.

The mayor of Novi Pazar dr Meho Mahmutovic presented the plaque last night at the celebration ceremony to the ministers emissary State Secretary Tanja Miscevic. On that occasion she conveyed congratulations of minister Sutanovac on occasion of the jubilee of Novi Pazar, while also conveying his message that this award was not an award to him personally but to the whole MoD and SAF team. Tanja Miscevic added that “a team can be only as good as its team leader”, expressing her belief that the established cooperation between SAF and Novi Pazar would continue in the future, for another, as she said, “ five hundred and fifty years at least, and beyond”.

The ceremony was attended by the SAF Deputy CHOD Major general Milan Bjelica and the commander of the second brigade general Dusan Stojanovic.

The plaques were also awarded to Mladjan Dinkic and Milutin Mrkojic, while a large number of individuals and institutions also got these Plaques.

A Charter on Friendship and Cooperation of the cities of Novi Pazar, Sombor, Sarajevo and Podgorica was signed, and it was stressed that “The city of Novi Pazar is a mix of tradition, tolerance, history and future”.
