Serbia becomes a partner country in PSOTC

The Republic of Serbia has been promoted into the status of the Peace Support Operations Training Center (PSOTC) partner country, at the 15th meeting of the PSOTC steering board held on 19 April 2011 in Butmir, BiH. The promotion was accompanied by the intoning of the Serbian national anthem and the hand over of the flag by the MoD representatives.

The accession of Serbia as the 18th partner country of the PSOTC was preceded by the exchange of letter between the defense ministers of Serbia and BIH regarding the dispatching of SAF members as lecturers to Butmir. A representative of the SAF will by the end of April start his two-year engagement in PSOTC with the financial support of the Kingdom of Denmark.

?S??? is the Training center and the PfP training center declared as of 2007, and was declared as a Regional Training Center for Participation in Peace Support Operations as of 2009. Engaging a Serbian representative will be an incentive for promoting further cooperation between the Mod and SAF with this Center in Bosnia, in order to boost the overall regional relations.
