The first place went to the Turkish navy academy, the second to the Slovenian team, the third to the UAE, while in the qualifications of the Mediterranean and Black Sea countries the first were the Turks, the Slovenians came in second while the Italian team came in third.

At the invitation of the Italian naval academy and the town of Laverne, this year, 18 countries accepted the invitation, competing in J 24 keelboat sialing. Besides military representations, 25 teams from Italy and the whole Europe, including the Olympic and world champions also participated in the regatta.
The Trophy of the Naval Academy and the city of Laverne which is the official name of this regatta is one of the largest and best organized regattas held at the Mediterranean, gathering 2500 sailors worldwide every year. This regatta is also the world championship of military academies in sailing on J 24 keelboats, and this was the 28th regatta.
The MA team underwent preparations on the Danube, using schooners borrowed from the Sailing Association of Serbia.
