Signing the military cooperation agreement
Minister of Defense stated today that Serbia would sign a Defense Cooperation Agreement with Kuwait as part of the official visit of the Serbian state delegation led by President Boris Tadic on the 10th and 11th April.
In his statement to Tanjug, Sutanovac said that this contract would enable “further and better cooperation of the two armies especially,what is more important, in defense industry”.
Sutanovac remarked that the delegation had presented their abilities, adding that “we expect this step to be a step forward in obtaining this job”, the overhaul and modernization of tank 149, model T-84.
"These tanks were in those times produced by the whole Yugoslavia while today the overhaul would be possible with the help of defense industries of Russia and France”, as the minister remarked
Furthermore, in his press statement to Tanjug news agency, minister remarked that should exporters from Slovenia and Croatia enter the job, we would gladly assume the role of integrating factor of the defense industries in former Yugoslavia region”.
Sutanovac will be one of the members of the state delegation, led by President Tadic, in an official visit to Kuwait starting tomorrow
