Expert talks on combat groups
The EU representatives held expert talks on the EU combat groups with the members of the Serbian MoD. The topic of discussion was acquainting the MoD representatives with the institutional structure, organs and the mechanisms of EU crisis management with special emphasis being placed on the concept of quick response groups. The talks were also attended by the representatives of the Ministry of Interior and the EU Integrations Office.
The representatives of the EU Agency for Foreign Activities and the EU HQ were received by the head of the International Military Cooperation Department Milorad Peric. Who expressed his pleasure with having the talks between the MoD and the Eu held for the first time, while also expressing hope that these talks would continue in the future as well. Since the top priority of the Serbian foreign policy is for Serbia to join the EU, all activities are geared towards intensifying cooperation within the EU Joint Safety and defense Cooperation which entail participation in EU military missions, are on the other hand, MoD’s priority tasks.
