State Secretary Miscevic visits Germany
During the official visit to Federal Republic of Germany, from 23 to 24 March, State Secretary with the Ministry of Defence, Dr. Tanja Miscevic met with Parliamentary State Secretary of the German Federal Ministry of Defence Christian Smith to discuss the cooperation in defense.
Both sides agreed that cooperation in defense was well developed and at a high level. However, there is an obvious need for its further improvement, especially within the Partnership for Peace and the European Union and the necessity of developing cooperation in military economy. Germany has provided significant support in educating and training members of the Ministry of Defense and the Army of Serbia, while in return the Serbian MoD has offered the facilities of the newly-established University of Defence for the training of the German armed forces in the Republic of Serbia.
Germany will continue to support the European integrations of Serbia, defense reforms and its involvement of the MoD and SAF in the PfP and EU missions.
During his visit, professor Tanja Miscevic gave a lecture on "Reforms in the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia" at the Institute of German Foreign Policy Association.
