Minister Sutanovac receives Minister of Foreign Affairs of Congo
Minister of Defence of the Republic of Serbia, Dragan Sutanovac, has met today with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic Republic of Congo, H.E. Alexis Tambe Mwamba.
Minister Sutanovac introduced his guest to the achieved level of the defence reforms, with emphasis on military education and health, as well as the potentials of military and economic cooperation. Minister Sutanovac pointed out that this visit was a good opportunity to promote the traditional friendly relations between the two countries and recalled that the Serbian Ministry of Defence sent the Draft Agreement on Defence Cooperation between the Ministry of Defence of DR Congo early in February this year, on the basis of which it is possible to establish a military-economic and military-medical cooperation between the two countries.
Minister Mwamba stressed that he appreciates the participation of the Serbian Armed Forces in the UN MOUNSCO mission, and pointed out that the presence of the medical team is very important.
Minister Sutanovac thanked for the support of the DR Congo regarding the issue of Kosovo and Metohija.
