Our military ski team in 51st World Military Ski Championship



At 51st World War Competition in Skiing, held from 21 to 25 February in the Olympic mountains of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the military teams from 23 countries worldwide and 359 competitors took part including a 12-member team from Serbia. The competition took place in the Alpine and Nordic disciplines.

Our teams were recognized among other world famous names in skiing, the Serbian military ski team has achieved very good results. AS part of the team slalom discipline, slalom, our competitive team came in fourth, behind the Italian, German and Slovenian military teams.

Our most successful competitor was the reserve soldier Vladimir Mandic, taking 13th place, while the second most successful result of our team was achieved by captain Daniel Pesic taking 19th place.

In the women's Super Giant (G) slalom skiing Sergeant Rada Djuric ranked 11th.

The best result of the competition in the Nordic disciplines were achieved by the soldier Damian Rastic taking 28th place (in cross-country) in competition with 66 competitors and 41 place (biathlon), in competition with 69 competitors participating. Sergeant Igor Vukovic ranked 50th in the place (in cross-country) and 66th place (in biathlon).

In the women's competition Ksenija Bubnjevic Bodlovic ranked as 26th in cross country and 34th in biathlon.

During the competition, the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Bosnia and Herzegovina Grujica Spasovic and defense attaché Colonel Zoran Stojiljkovic were alongside our competitors.
