Military cooperation with Romania

The bilateral defense consultations between the Republic of Serbia and Romania headed by the Head of the International Military Cooperation Department Miloard Peric and Deputy State Secretary of the Romanian MoD for Planning and defense Policy Major General Viorel Angelesku were held on 22 February in Bucharest.

On that occasion the Bilateral Military Cooperation Plan for 2011 was signed along with the Plan of Military Education Cooperation for the school year 2011-2012.

The bilateral military cooperation between Serbia and Romania is intensive and is being qualitatively and continuously improved. The set priorities are bilateral and trilateral exercises (including Hungary’s participation), and Romania’s support to the process of reforms of the defense system in Serbia through sharing experiences regarding the participation in international missions, PPBES and other activities of mutual interest.
