Marking the Day of the defenders of the fatherland
On the occasion of the protectors of the fatherland, the President of the City Hall Aleksandar Antic laid wreaths at the Monument to the Liberators of Belgrade in World War II, along with the Russian Ambassador to Belgrade Alexander Konuzin, and the representatives of the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy. ”n honor of the proctors of our fatherland and the great great Red Army and the brotherly relations among the Slav peoples”- was what the president of City Hall, Aleksandar Antic wrote in the memorial book.
The official delegation laid wreaths at the grave of a Red Army soldier. The diplomatic representatives of Ukraine, Belarus and Azerbaijan also paid their tribute by laying wreaths in memory of the defenders of the country during the Second World War.
