Plenary session of the Serbia-NATO Defense Reform Group



In the House of Guards in Topcider a regular plenary session of the Serbia-NATO Defense Reform Group (DRG) was held today.

The meeting was chaired by State Secretary in the Ministry of Defense Tanja Miscevic, PhD as well as the Group coordination team members, State Secretary Aleksandar Miscevic, commander of the army LTG Ljubisa Dikovic and commander of the Training Command, LTG Aleksandar Zivkovic.

Furthermore, the meeting was attended by the Chairperson of the Group, Milorad Peric, and the executive coordinator of the Group Major General Bozidar Forca as well as the DRG work table chairpersons and deputy chairpersons.

The NATO delegation was represented by Mr. Frank Boland and Rock Kosirnik.

Twenty representatives of the NATO, EU and PfP member states and of the NATO MLO, including the representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of the Interior took part in the meeting..

The participants all came to a conclusion that they have made significant progress in reaching partner goals since the previous plenary session held in November 2010.

The NATO representatives were presented key activities that will be carried out in the defense system this year.

The NATO delegation has expressed pleasure with the results achieved in partner goals so far, confirming that Serbia is becoming more intensively involved into contributing the stability and security in the region.
