Symposium on "Planning and Programming of Defense and Logistics"
A symposium "Planning and Programming of Defense and Logistics" in the organization of the Strategic Planning Department for Defence Policy of the Ministry of Defence was held in the Guard HQ at Topcider. This symposium represents the realization of the conclusions reached during the visit of the delegation of the Ministry of Defence, headed by State Secretary Zoran Jeftic, to Ohio in the U.S. in October last year, and during the visit to Belgrade of professor Thomas Young with the Center for Civil-Military Relations, Monterrey Postgraduate Naval School.
The symposium was chaired by the Head of the Strategic Planning Department, Major General Bozidar Forca, PhD.
The U.S. delegation was represented by Professors Gordon Grant and Jan Murumets from Centre for Civil-Military Relations, Monterrey Postgraduate Naval School. During the symposium views and opinions on the planning, programming, budgeting, training and logistics in the defense, with many concrete examples were exchanged.
The participants concluded that the symposium successfully has been successfully realized where the specific areas for further cooperation in the sphere of defense reform were identified.
