President Boris Tadic congratulates the Day of SAF



I congratulate holiday to all members of the Serbian Armed Forces.

By celebrating the National Day and the Day of the Serbian Armed Forces on 15 February, we have managed to restore the profound historical and traditional relationships in the creation and development of our country and its army.

The Serbian Armed Forces have carried out a number of major tasks in the previous year, one of them being professionalisation, which is a big step forward in creating a strong and modern army, developed in accordance with the highest international standards, to secure peace support in the region and guarantee stability and prosperity of our country.

I am convinced that the military will in future carry out their duties and tasks responsibly and professionally. I congratulate you this holiday, with the desire to successfully continue the reform process and strengthen the operational and functional efficiency of the Serbian Armed Forces.
