Goverment appoints Inspector General



The Serbian government, on the basis of the Acts on the Military Security Agency and Military Intelligence Agency, appointed Prof. Dr. Bozidar Banovica as the Inspector General.

Inspector General is appointed by the Government for a period of five years upon the proposal of the Minister of Defence, with the approval of the National Security Council.

Bozidar Banovic was born in Belgrade on7 July 1960, where he finished elementary school and IX Belgrade High School. He graduated in 1984 from the School of Law with the GPA 9.13.He defended his MA thesis titled "Criminal investigation of criminal acts of fraud" and then finished his PhD studies by defending his PhD thesis on "Preservation of evidence in crime scene processing economic crime acts."

He is currently working as an associate professor at the University of Kragujevac.

He was employed at the Criminal Police Academy in Belgrade as an assistant professor for the scientific area of Criminology. He has worked at the Police College since June 1986 , where he was elected for the position of assistant to Professor of Criminology-methods. Furthermore, he was appointed Assistant Director and Director of the Police College.

At the High School in Banja Luka in 2006 he was appointed associate professor in the aforementioned subject.

By the decision of the Commission for obtaining scientific titles, the Ministry of Science and Environmental Protection of Serbia on 4 March 2004 he obtained the academic qualification, as a research fellow at the Institute for Criminological and Sociological Research in Belgrade.

In July 2005 he was appointed assistant professor for criminal-legal subjects at the Faculty of Security, University of Belgrade.
