Self-Access English Language Learning Centre opens



A modern Self-Access English Language Learning Centre has been opened at the airport Batajnica today. Multimedia cabinet is equipped with modern computer, digital video equipment and the latest software for learning the English language as well as permanent internet connection with the possibility of distance learning.

The Opening Ceremony was attended by Brigadier General Sla?an Djordjevic, Acting Assistant Minister for Human Resources, Brigadier General Sreto Malinovic, Deputy Air Force and Air Defence Commander, Brigadier General Jovica Draganic, Chief of Training and Doctrine Command, and defence attachés of the donor countries.

Ministry of Defence has recognized the importance and the need for learning English not only as a necessity but also as a matter of accountability, efficiency and interoperability of the defence system, said General Djordjevic and particularly thanked the representatives of donor countries for the cooperation so far.

The Project of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces in the field of English Language Training (PELT) is the partnership project of the Ministry of Defence and the donor countries – United Kingdom, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and the Netherlands. The British Council in Belgrade, the Agency for International Language Coordination and English language experts have the expert and advisory function in the project implementation.
