SAF CHOD at the meeting of the Euroatlantic Partnership Military Committee
Chief of the Serbian General Staff LTG Miloje Miletic participated at the meeting of the Euroatlantic Partnership Military Committee. The topic of this year’s meeting regarded the military implications of the New Strategic Concept and the decisions of the NATO Summit in Lisbon.
The meeting was chaired by the Chairperson of the Committee Admiral Di Paola, where the main message was the need for the partner countries to participate more in the process of harmonization and decision-making, especially as regards a more equal relationship of those countries participating in joint missions. The objective of the military political bodies is to make such an approach more effective and more applicable in the field.At the sidelines of the meeting General Miletic talked with the NATO Joint Forces Command in Naples, he met with Admiral Locklear, Commander of the KFOR, General Bealer as well as his colleagues from the region. ON that occasion they exchanged opinions on security issues and future forms of cooperation.
This is an annual meeting and the next meeting of the Euroatlantic Partnership Military Committee is scheduled for February 2012.
