Annual awards of the Media Center "|Odbrana"
The panel of judges deciding on the journalism award " Ivan Markovic " estimates that this year's competition journalistic works submitted to this competition, is of very solid media production, and very diverse in theme and genre. The purpose of the award is to encourage journalists covering the activities of the Ministry of Defense and the Serbian Armed Forces to improve the reporting in national print and electronic media, which would provide them with public recognition and verification of their work all this in memory of Ivana Markovic, one of the most gifted military reporters and editors at the "Vojska" magazine who died in 2003, in his 43rd year.The jury decided to present the "Ivan Markovic" award to "Beta" reporter Vojkan Kostic for a documentary television film, "Being a soldier", made in the TV production "EAI", and broadcast in the series "Integration" in the program RTS2 and other 38 local TV stations in the ANEM network. The award consists of a plaque and the amount of 60,000 RSD.
The panel of judges for "Ivan Markovic" award is made up of Dr. Rade Veljanovski, the chair of the panel of judges (Faculty of Political Sciences, Belgrade), Sanja Lubardi? (TV Studio B), Nenad Kovacevic ("Danas" daily), Zvonimir Pesic (a retired colonel, a former director and chief editor of the "Vojska" magazine) and Daniela Marjanovic (with the Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Defence).
The jury for the selection of the best athletes and sports teams the Serbian Armed Forces noted that during the past year in the military sport, and in individual and team competitions excellent results were achieved both in domestic and international competitions. The panel of judges task was more difficult, among the received applications to choose the best.
The jury decided that the best athlete of the Serbian Armed Forces in 2010 were Stevan Stojanovic in judo, and the Shooting Club "Akademac" as the best sports team.
The panel of judges for sports awards was made up of Vuk Rasovic, president, colonel Dragan Djini, Head of the Department of Military Sports Department of the Military Academy, captain Predrag Zeljkovic, Acting Chief of the Office for Physical Training, the Department of Training and Doctrine Command (J-7) SAF , and Goran Cegar Sergeant, an officer in the Department of Military Sports Directorate of the Military Academy and Branko Kopunovic, an editor in the Media Center "Odbrana".
Awards will be presented at a ceremony marking the Day of the Media Center "Odbrana", 24 January, in the Central Military Club.
