SAF CHOD visits GSZ
Serbian Army Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Miloje Miletic, accompanied by the commanders of the Army Lieutenant General Dikovic and Third Brigade Commander Colonel Cedomir Brankovic, visited the base today," Vrapce" in the Ground Safety Zone.On that occasion, he had the opportunity to see the situation in the composition in which the members of the Army welcomed the New Year, performing tasks on the administrative line with Kosovo and Metohija. Congratulating holidays,to the embers of the Third Brigade, based on "Vrapce" the CHOD of SAF stated his hope that the next year is not marked by any administrative border line incidents.
In his assessment of the situation in the Ground Safety Zone, General Miletic said that the situation was relatively stable.
"We have a state which is peaceful, there is no emergency, but we still have some degree of mistrust on the part of the population, due to the legacy of the previous periods, where until now even the slightest incident in the Ground Safety Zone may cause major instability in the whole zone along the administrative line towards Kosovo and Metohija, "said Chief of the Army of Serbia.
While visiting the base Vrapce the chief of staff showed particular interest in the status issues of units composed exclusively of professional soldiers and officers.,, I am glad I can talk with professional soldiers and to have learned that they were glad to be part of of the Army of Serbia certain that they have chosen the right call, "said General Miletic.
For exemplary performance of tasks based on "Vrapce" was awarded the Chief of senior sergeant and Corporals Goran Stojic and Dejan Miljkovic.
