Minister Sutanovac announces support to Sloboda Cacak arms factory
During his visit to Soboda Cacak, Minister of Defense Dragan Sutanovac announced last night that MoD would provide financial support to this arms factory where a series of explosions started at 16:30.Minister said that the facility where the explosion occurred was built by all standards which prevented the explosion from spreading to all parts of the factory.
“Sloboda” is one of the most prosperous factory of defense industry in Serbia and in this year alone it exported a 35 million USD worth of products, as the minister stated, emphasizing that MoD has to find means to renew the factory otherwise the factory would not be able to meet the deadlines with foreign buyers.
The cause of the explosion is still unknown as Sutanovac said and investigation is under way.
