Expert discussion on standardization
Discussion on the standardization of the defense system was held at the Military Technical Institute, organized by the Directorate of Standardization, Codification and Metrology, Defense Technology Department with the Sector for Material Resources MOD.At the conference, in the presence of the Chief of the Defense Technologies Department Colonel prof. Dr. Bojan Zrnic, the representatives of the Strategic Planning, J-5, VTI, TOC, MMA, MGI and defense industry factories from Valjevo, Lucani, Baric and Belgrade also participated in the discussion.
The aim of the expert discussions led by Colonel Zoran Spasojevic, Director of the SCM was to consider the situation in the field of standardization in the Army of Serbia and to define strategies for its development in defense systems.
By giving presentations on standardization, particularly material and standardization in the defense system, NATO standards and their importance for achieving SAF’s interoperability with other armies, ensuring the quality of weapons and education in the field of standardization, participants in the debate tried to give a projection of the development of standardization in the defense system.Pointing out that standardization accelerates the modernization and adaptation of the Army of Serbia to the demands of time, both in terms of equipment, as well as the procedures, which is why standardization is one of the goals of defense doctrine, the participants agreed that closer attention should be paid on implementing and achieving standardization.
