Brazilian defense minister visits VTI
The delegation of the Ministry of Defense of Brazil headed by the Minister of defense of Brazil Nelson Azeveda Jobim and the Assistant Minister for Human Resources Ilija Pilipovic visited the Military Technical Institute (VTI) today.„Since its inception the Military Technical Institute has been the center for advanced technologies in our country”, as Pilipovic said welcoming the guests from Brazil. During the meeting with the director of the VTI Colonel Zoran Rajic, PhD, Ilija Pilipovic presented the history and the activities of this institution and the course of future work as well as planned goals.
Minister Jobim on that occasion stressed that they would consider future course of work and cooperation adding that what they had seen was very encouraging and shows that there is room for exchanging experiences.
The Brazilian delegation and the representatives of the ministry of defense of Serbia also visited the Sector for Experimental Dynamics of the Institute where the trans-sonic air tunnel T-38 drew the visitors’ attention.Today’s visit is a continuation of the visit of the Brazilian defense ministry’s delegation, where the ministers of defense of Serbia and Brazil signed an agreement on military cooperation yesterday on which occasion Minister Sutanovac said that this new agreement would enable the development of bilateral cooperation especially in the areas of military economy, education technology and medicine.
