SAF CHOD meets with KFOR commander



The Serbian Chief of the General Staff LTG Miloje Miletic met today with the KFOR commander Major General Erchard Biller, as a high-level meeting of the Military Technical Agreement Implementation Committee.

During the meeting, general Biller informed General Miletic of the plans to downsize and reorganization of KFOR units stressing that the units under his command in the upcoming period will boost their mobility, flexibility and units’ readiness as a compensation for downsizing.

In the words of General Biller, KFOR will persevere in its commitment to creating a safe environment and free moving in Kosovo. In this respect KFOR will continue to cooperate with EULEX ad the local police force while realizing exercise on the whole territory of Kosovo.

Generals Miletic and Biller agreed that the cooperation between SAF and KFOR was based on mutual trust and respect and it was good and professional.

The general situation at the administrative line towards Kosovo was assessed as peaceful and stable.

Cross-border criminal activities, such as contraband, smuggling, trafficking and illegal migrations and logging can be curbed only through professional cooperation and synchronized patrols of both sides of the administrative line by security forces.

Both generals exchanged information and opinions regarding the overall situation I Kosovo while paying special attention to the situation in the north of this province

Furthermore both sides agreed on the need for continuing and enhancing cooperation between SAF and KFOR.
