Distance-learning lab opened at the MA

Head of the Military Academy, Brigadier General Mladen Vuruna and the State Secretary of Ministry of Defence of Norway Roger Ingerbriksten today at the Military Academy, opened a lab for distance learning in the Center for Simulation and Distance Learning.

The opening ceremony was attended by delegations of the Ministry of Defence and General Staff of Serbia, the Ministry of Defence of Norway, representatives of the Jefferson Institute and professors of the Military Academy.

The newly opened laboratory at the Military Academy is the result of cooperation between the Serbian Ministry of Defense and the Serbian Armed Forces and the Ministry of Defence of the Kingdom of Norway on developing a model for distance learning in the Serbian Army, as one of the possible forms of professional development of SAF after the completion of undergraduate studies.

 - The Department of Military Education will facilitate the learning process making the learning materials more available to the commanders in garrisons in the province. The laboratory has a necessary infrastructure for making electronic materials and distributing them via the Internet to be used for distance learning. The plan is to digitize the libraries of the Military Academy so thanks to this lab all material will be made accessible to all the members of the Serbian Armed Forces- said the head of the Center for Simulation and Distance Learning, Lt. Col. Goran Simic.

The laboratory is equipped with modern computer equipment and software that enables production of video, audio and other multimedia materials.
