MoD awards scholarships for postgraduate studies
The Directorate for Human Resources Human Resources has signed contracts with officers and military officers who, by the decision of the Minister of Defense, have been granted scholarships for postgraduate studies at civil universities.Contracts, signed on behalf of MoD by Brigadier General Sladjan Djordjevic, Acting Assistant to Defense Minister for Human ResourcesOut of 105 male and female candidates who applied for scholarships, the staff committee chose 43, eight of whom will get a scholarship for MA studies while 35PhD studies.
According to a research of Stanford University, the total of human knowledge obtained by 1900 doubled by 1950, and since then it has doubled every five to eight years. Today knowledge is the most important human resource and capital. Only a society which cherishes and values knowledge s a valuable resource, which highly appreciates individuality and investing in education and science, can on a better future - said Djordjevic.
The Ministry of Defence attaches great importance to education and training of its members, which according to General Djordjevic, is best confirmed by the fact that for this purpose alone has allocated nearly 15 million RSD. He stressed that all those who have received these grants should justify the deposited trust by excelling in their work, and that should be the main driving force of the progress of our country
