Car accident claims the life of a colonel



In a car accident which occurred last night around 18:30 on the Novi Sad-Beograd road, near the town of Indjija, a colonel in the Serbian Armed Forces Dragan Lukesevic who worked in the Defense Inspectorate was killed.

At the part of the road narrowed due to works on the road, Colonel Lukesevic who was driving fiat punto suddenly swerved off the road and crossed onto the lane where the works were being done and hit to the truck of the company in charge of the works. The truck driver was also injured and he was taken to hospital.
The investigative judge and the Military Police bodies processed the scene of the accident in order to determine the possible causes of the accident.

Minister of Defense Dragan Sutanovac sent a letter of condolences to the family of Colonel Lukesevic.
