A self-educational center for English learning opened in Zajecar



In the barracks "Nikola Pasic" in Zajecar , the Centre for independent learning of English language was opened today. The ceremony was attended by State Secretary Igor Jovicic, Commander of the Army 3rd brigade Col. Cedomir Brankovic, Director of the British Council in Serbia, Andrew Glass, diplomatic and military representatives from the embassies of Norway, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Sweden and Denmark.

The center was officially opened by State Secretary of MoD Igor Jovicic and on this occasion he said that similar centers had been opened in Belgrade, Novi Sad, Nis, Kraljevo, Pancevo and Vranje and that, after Zajecar, another one would be opened in Krusevac.

The representative of Norway Colonel Esben As pointed out that the center will be used by members of the Army 3.brigade to learn and improve English language which will help them in their participation in multinational operations.

The center is equipped with a multimedia cabinet with computers, digital video equipment and the latest software for learning English. It is initially to be used for the training of a Declared Company, within the 31st infantry battalion, of the 3rd army brigade, as the first of this rank in the Serbian army, and is currently undergoing preparations for participation in multinational operations.
