Defense Reform Group (DRG) plenary session



The plenary meeting of the NATO-Serbia Defense Reform Group (DRG) was held in the Annex Hall of the House of Guards in the Topcider barracks today.

The meeting was chaired by the co-chairman of the Group, Head of the International Military Cooperation Department Milorad Peric and the Director for the Planning of the NATO Forces Mr. Frank Boland.

The introductory key notes were given by the executive coordinator of the Group, the Head of the Strategic Planning Department Major General Bozidar Forca.

The chairpersons of six working tables gave presentations of their respective progress in the previous period July-November 2010, as well as the main projects for realizing the agreed upon Partnership goals, where special attention should be paid to defining forms of cooperation, and ways of foreign partners’ help in the realization of the predefined projects. All participants of the meeting agreed that further cooperation with other NATO member states and PfP signatories should be intensified.

The meeting was also attended by other members of the Group’s coordination team, chairmen and deputy chairmen of working tables of the DRG, as well as DAs of those NATO states supporting further reforms of the defense.
