Adriatic Charter CHODs meet

Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Miloje Miletic took part in 13th meeting of army chiefs forces of the member countries of the Adriatic Charter held in Skopje. In addition to the army chiefs of the armed forces of Albania, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Macedonia, as full members of this initiative, the meeting was also attended by chiefs of staff of Bulgaria and Serbia and the Representative of Greek Armed Forces, as an observer. As in previous meetings the commander of the NATO Joint Force Command Naples and Deputy EUCOM Commander were also present.

The subject of the meeting was "The control of air and maritime space and integration into NATO C4I architecture. All participants had a set of national presentations in which they agreed it was encouraging to see all the countries in the region share the stance that efficient control of air and maritime space was necessary, in order to prevent any current security challenges, especially terrorism and organized crime, by employing all available mechanisms and through the exchange of information .

The impact of these efforts depends on the achieved level of interoperability among all participants, which is largely associated with the standards of equipment and level of capabilities. The problem that all countries face at a greater or lesser extent is the problem of modern systems and equipment. In accordance with the above, the common conclusion was that the regional approach to resolving this issue would be the most rational and effective way, through the joint use of existing capacities, agreeing on this as the future course of all joint activities

In the afternoon SAF CHOD will have bilateral meetings with the commander of NATO's Joint Force Command in Naples, Admiral Locklear, deputy commander of EUCOM, General Gardner and Chief of General Staff of the Macedonian Army, General Stojanovski.
