Exchange of experience in HR management in defense



Head of the Human Resources Department and the Assistant to the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Croatia Nenad Smolcec and his associates began a two-day working visit to the Department of Human Resources of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia.

The talks between the two ministries have been organized within the framework of the bilateral military cooperation plan for 2010 to exchange experiences and acquire knowledge on the human resources management in the area of defense.

The talks covered the following topics - the appointment of personnel and career management, normative development of the army service, career change, involving members of armed forces in peacekeeping operations, as well as educating and training in the MOD and the Armed Forces.

Head of the HR Department and the Acting Assistant to theDefense Minister for Human Resources, Brigadier General Sla?an ?or?evi? said that the reform of human resources management system in the MoD had been recognized as a very important part of reform process within the MoD and VS.

"I would like to point out that for the future and the prosperity of the region, good cooperation between Serbia and Croatia and their armed forces is needed. The Defense Cooperation Agreement signed during the visit of Minister Sutanovac to Croatia, in June 2010 was an important step in the stabilization and normalization of relations between the two countries, said General Djordjevic.

"I think these discussions as well as the exchange of experience provide us with an opportunity to acquire new knowledge that will improve the overall reforms in the MOD and the Armed Forces in both countries as General Djordjevic added.
