Prime Minister Cvetkovic and Minister Sutanovac visit Kraljevo



Serbian Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic said today that the Serbian Government would help Kraljevo, which has suffered great damage in the earthquake and he urged citizens to show solidarity.

Cvetkovic told reporters in Kraljevo that the headquarters for emergency situations had responded in a timely, well organized and effective manner.


In the short run we are ready to help and have already made certain decisions, he said, adding that, the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Government had approved five million RSD for immediate help.

For the soup kitchen, through the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, will be granted a further one million dinars, he said, stressing that one can see how people can help in material goods.

The situation is dramatic, the houses were damaged and it is clear that this was a serious earthquake. What can I say, the government will help, said the Prime Minister.

Defense Minister Dragan Sutanovac called on the citizens of Kraljevo to show solidarity, to help their fellow citizens whose homes suffered damage in the earthquake last night.

This can not be solve by soldiers, as he remarked and pointed out that people capable of working should be motivated to help the citizens of Kraljevo.
