"Diplomacy and the military " book launched at the Fair

 - This is valuable work that reveals the constant association of diplomacy and military, thus writing very interesting pages of national history - were the words of prof. Dr. Branko Krga with the Academy for Diplomacy and Security which co-published the book by Mile Bjelajac, scientific advisor of the Institute for the Recent History of Serbia, together with the Media Center "ODBRANA".

At the stand of the Media Center "ODBRANA", the journalist Dragan Bisenic spoke at the book launch, while the editor of the publishing section of "ODBRANA" Dragana Markovic and editor of the book Slavica ?eri? Magazinovi? greeted the guests.

Dragan Biseni? pointed out that the book "Diplomacy and military" by Dr. Mile Bjelajac is a continuation of extremely useful edition of his works on the Army, which he analyzes systematically, from a historically necessary distance but also within the context of very delicate current issues. The latest book reveals those moments in the Serbian history which have not been thoroughly examined offering an explanation for these moemnts, from 1901 to 1999 , when the diplomatic and military interests of Serbia
were directly linked to decisions of national importance. The basic message is that any ideology fades when national interests are compromised.

Author Dr. Mile Bjelajac thanked the publishers for their effort to present the book at this year's Book Fair and explained some of the most interesting historical situations in which Serbia and Yugoslavia had found themselves in, revealing how much the book is interesting for professional community and general public interested in the history of diplomacy and the military to the most recent period.
