NATO MPs and Serbian MPs in "Jug" base
Members of the Subcommittee for Democratic Governance of the Parliamentary Assembly of the NATO and members of the Parliament of the Republic of Serbia visited the base today, "South" in Bujanovac. Guests were welcomed by State Secretary Dusan Spasojevic, Deputy Commander of Land Forces Brigadier General Vidoje Zivkovic and Deputy Commander of the Fourth Brigade, Colonel Zoran Lubura.
The guests visited the base, training and accommodation facilities. Base Commander Lt. Col. Bozidar Pejic informed them of the purpose and tasks of the base, which is of great importance for ensuring the safety of corridor 10 and for maintaining stability in southern Serbia.NATO MPs have expressed particular interest in the possibility of using bases and training grounds, the role and status of women within the unit and for relations with the local population.
