Serbian Armed Forces tank units conduct intensive training
As part of their regular training cycle focusing on unit-specific tasks in Serbian Armed Forces operations, members of the T-72M Tank Battalion are intensively practising combat action and live-fire using the T-72MS tank.
The training is designed to enhance crew proficiency, operational coordination, and safety during task execution, as well as to prepare personnel for fighting on the modern battlefield. Unit members will further improve their knowledge and skills through tactical drills and live-fire exercises.Tank Platoon Commander Second Lieutenant Dimitrije Stanimirović says that there is a special focus on the live-fire training of newly admitted professional soldiers and sergeants who recently completed the Non-Commissioned Officer Course as civilian candidates.
— This type of training produces highly motivated and self-confident personnel, ready to carry out the tasks and missions of the Serbian Armed Forces at any moment - said Second Lieutenant Stanimirović.He encouraged young people to apply for positions within the Serbian Armed Forces’ tank units until October 31, emphasising that, in addition to bringing numerous benefits, this job is primarily about “honour, pride, and love for the homeland.”
The T-72MS tank features enhanced firepower and armour protection compared to the basic version. It is equipped with improved reactive armour and a panoramic sight that allows the commander to detect targets at greater distances. Its armament consists of a 125 mm gun, a 7.62 mm machine gun, and a 12.7 mm anti-aircraft machine gun.
