In response to the footage circulating on social media that allegedly shows a helicopter being used to transport Mr Aleksandar Vučić during the election campaign, the Ministry of Defence wishes to inform the public that the aircraft in question neither belongs to, nor is used by the Serbian Armed Forces.
Furthermore, after Mr Aleksandar Vučić resigned as President of the Republic of Serbia, no Serbian Armed Forces’ aircraft have been used to transport any individuals outside of the Ministry of Defence or the Serbian Armed Forces, including Mr Aleksandar Vučić.
We hereby urge all political actors, individuals and media outlets to refrain from publishing unverified and false information that could harm the institution dedicated to serving the citizens of the Republic of Serbia responsibly and professionally.
